James has been the Head of the Compliance Department for the Boston Group since 2007, as well as acting as the Combating Terrorist Financing Officer, Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Controller for the Group.
James has over 25 years’ experience in Trust, Fund and Banking within the on-shore and off-shore financial services industries, This has included holding senior Compliance and Operations positions on the Island as well as in the UK and the Cayman Islands. James has also developed an extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for other jurisdictions through international compliance visits and liaising with external regulators on a regular basis.
James is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, Member of the International Compliance Association; a Fellow of the Compliance Institute and a Fellow and Director of the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals.
James is an active member of the Island’s sports community, and is currently Chairman of the Manx Hockey Association. As well as developing opportunities for youth hockey on the Island, he is a keen walker and has participated in the Island’s Parish Walk on a number of occasions in support of local charities.
In his capacity as Group Head of Finance, Martin is responsible for preparing the Group management and statutory accounts, compiling internal financial control policies, and assisting with the management of Group IT systems. He is also responsible for all aspects of human resources, relating to the Boston Group.
Before joining Boston in November 2010, Martin had been employed in a variety of management accountant roles in the life assurance sector on the Isle of Man.
Martin is a graduate of Lancaster University and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
Martin lives on the Isle of Man and is married with three young children.
Kerry joined Boston in August 2013, enthused by the opportunity to join the company at a time when it continues to expand and develop. She was appointed as Group Company Secretary in March 2014 and her role covers areas including risk, corporate governance and tax compliance projects.
Kerry started her career as a Regulator with the Financial Supervision Commission. After 7 years she joined the IOMA Group where she spent a further 6 years putting her technical knowledge into commercial practise as Compliance Manager for the fiduciary business and latterly Group Company Secretary. Coupled with this Kerry is a Business Studies graduate and qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 2004.
Outside of work Kerry is very outgoing. She has two young children who provide much of her entertainment! When free time allows, Kerry enjoys socialising, keeping fit and holidays abroad.
Since joining Boston Limited in 2008 as a Support Administrator, Rosie has transferred her impressive organisational skills to the ClientCorporate Statutory Department. She is a valued member of the closely knit team that manages all corporate statutory administration across several worldwide jurisdictions.
Rosemary started her working life as PA to the partners of a local firm of Chartered Accountants and over the next 16 years gained experience in all aspects of company administration.
An in-depth knowledge of individual jurisdictional corporate statutory requirements is fundamental to her role and this, combined with Rosie’s highly organised approach and attention to detail ensure that client corporate requirements are dealt with speedily and efficiently.

As part of her dual role as Assistant Administrator, Ashlee assists with both tax administration and the maintenance of client portfolios, including trust and company structures in multiple jurisdictions.
Before joining Boston in November 2011, Ashlee worked for 3 years in the Finance Department of Royal Skandia Life Assurance Ltd where she was an integral member of the Cash Control and Policy Charges teams.
Ashlee is currently studying towards membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) having previously been successful in completing the relevant modules of the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification.
In her spare time, Ashlee enjoys baking, jewellery making and craft activities. In the warmer months, she also enjoys kayaking with family and friends.
