Manx Executive Challenge
20 September 2011
The Manx Executive Challenge is organised by the Chartered Management Institute’s Isle of Man branch and is held every two years. Boston are delighted that two of its talented staff members have been selected to participate in the 2011-12 MEC.
Business Development Manager Bryony Jennings (left) will be taking part along with Client Manager Tanya Rhodes (below left). Both ladies will attend the launch weekend on 16th September and be involved up until the Finals Night on 14th May 2012.
All of the participants will be grouped into teams which combine representatives from the public and private sectors. Each Team will have to prepare a written report and presentation to be judged at the end of the course. The judges and audience will include politicians as well as key members from the Island’s business and professional communities. The participants for the event have been selected from a range of economic sectors and industries on the Island, including manufacturing, international finance, public service, teaching and retail.
Commenting on her reasons for taking part, Bryony said “The challenge will be a great way to develop my project management skills with the chartered management institute and will be highly beneficial for our growth plans at Boston.”
Tanya is really looking forward to the event, saying “Taking part in the MEC provides an opportunity to apply some of the knowledge and experience gained throughout my career to date, but more importantly to challenge myself in an unfamiliar environment with new people. This will really accelerate my personal development and I look forward to getting started!”
