Family Fun Event

On Friday evening, the team at Boston took to Port Erin beach with their friends and family to play rounders in celebration of the last few weeks of summer. This was organised by the Boston Social Committee as a chance for everyone to get together and enjoy being active in the sun.
The family fun event was well attended with over 50 staff members, partners and children taking part. Most of the children actually out-performed the adults with their impressive rounders skills! Although there were a few nerves about how pleasant the weather was going to be, there were smiles all round when the Boston team arrived on Port Erin beach to be greeted by warm sunshine and fresh air. It was a fantastic way to end the working week, and everyone enjoyed going for a buffet dinner and celebratory drinks at a local hotel after the rounders games were all finished.
Greg Ellison is already looking forward to next year’s event; “It’s been years since I played rounders which was evident as I scored no runs, took no catches and got no-one out. However, I always enjoy meeting up with the families of our team members - and having seen the rounders prowess of some of the kids I hope to do better next year!”
