Boston expands team

The business has ambitious expansion plans following the appointment of Greg Ellison as its Chief Executive Officer earlier this year. The three new appointments are Gary Ormond, Douglas Kelly and Jodie-Lee McFarlane.
Gary Ormond joined Boston in July, taking on the role of Assistant Manager. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the provision of trust and corporate administration services, which allows him to successfully manage a wide and varied client portfolio. Prior to moving to the Isle of Man in 1998, Gary accumulated over fifteen years’ experience in the Yorkshire Bank PLC Trustee Department. Since his move to the Island, he was employed by two of the Island’s major financial organisations, primarily dealing with trust and corporate services provision. Gary is an Associate Member of the Institute of Financial Services (formerly the Chartered Institute of Bankers).
Doug Kelly has been appointed as a Senior Client Accountant. Doug began his career working for a small local accountancy firm as a trainee, where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant and part qualified with ACCA. In 2004 he moved into a role at SMP Partners which allowed him to deal with clients from multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Switzerland. Doug qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2007.
Jodie-Lee McFarlane started with Boston in August as a Client Accountant. She graduated in 2006 from Northumbria University with a degree in Accounting and Finance before joining Odyssey Partnerships Limited as a trainee accountant. To build on this role, she moved to another local company, which later merged with SMP Partners. At SMP Partners, she concentrated primarily on producing financial statements; which is her main responsibility at Boston. Jodie-Lee is in the process of studying towards her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification.
