Wendy manages the Client Accounts team at Boston and is also personally responsible for a key client relationship within the manufacturing industry. Wendy provides the Accounts team with support and ensures consistently high quality client service.
Prior to joining Boston in 2007, Wendy had five years of experience in accounts roles within the financial services sector on the Isle of Man. This experience, alongside the qualifications she has gained, gives her a sound understanding of the accounts industry.
Wendy achieved the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants qualifications in early 2009. Prior to commencing her ACCA qualification, she had achieved Certified Accounting Technician status.
Wendy likes to keep healthy, regularly attending the gym and going out running and walking on the Isle of Man with her husband.

Nick Scarffe, Client Accountant
Working within the Private Clients Accounts team, Nick assists in producing financial statements, completing VAT returns and processing payroll among other day to day accounting services.
Nick holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences, and joined Boston shortly after his graduation in 2009 as a Trainee client accountant. He has subsequently been promoted to his position as client accountant.
Nick is studying towards his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualifications in order to expand his skills and uphold his commitment to providing a high level of service to all clients.
Outside of work Nick enjoys sport, in particular cycling, and participates in the Manx End2End Challenge. He has also taken part in other sporting events, such as the corporate hockey league.

Sam Egan, Senior Accountant
Working in our dedicated Accounts team, Sam’s role includes the maintenance of client ledgers, preparation of VAT and Tax returns, and the production of management accounting reports and statutory financial statements.
In his previous role at a small accounts firm, Sam was involved in all aspects of different entities which were as varied as AIM companies, smaller organisations, and High Net Worth individuals.
Sam is an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants student and, coupled with his previous hands-on experience in all aspects of company management, this has allowed Sam to become an integral part of the Accounts team.
Sam is married and has an active lifestyle which includes running, mountain biking and weight training as often as possible. He also horse rides, rides his motorbike and is a passionate rugby supporter, as well a qualified rugby coach.

Sophie Bollen, Trainee Client Accountant
Sophie joined Boston in August 2010 as a Trainee Company and Trust Administrator. After six months she moved to Accounts, where she provides book-keeping and accounting support by assisting Client Accountants on a portfolio of bespoke Private and Corporate clients.
Sophie graduated in 2010 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University, where she studied various aspects of business theory, including accountancy, corporate finance and project management. As a dedicated member of the Accounts Team, Sophie is highly passionate about her work and is currently studying towards completing her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification.
Sophie is an active member of the Boston Social Committee and is also a member of the Boston Hockey Team, playing in a corporate league against other business on the Island.

Andrew Quayle, Client Accountant
Working in the Client Accounts team, Andrew’s role includes the maintenance of client ledgers, preparation of VAT and Tax returns and the production of management accounting reports and statutory financial statements.
During his career Andrew has had experience in preparing accounts for a private bank as well as smaller organisations and High Net Worth individuals.
Andrew is an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants student.
Andrew is married with children and in his free time enjoys mountain biking and cycling.
